Lake House - A residence between material and landscape

Overlooking Lake Geneva, a private villa features a bespoke interior project by Fratelli Boffi, extending across both the indoor and outdoor spaces of the residence. A tailored approach shaped by a careful exploration of proportions, finishes and craftsmanship, responding to the character of the house and its surrounding landscape.
Inside, natural tones and expansive views of the lake provide the backdrop for a rich exploration of materials. Fine woods such as walnut, sycamore, eucalyptus and rosewood, in both natural and stained finishes, are combined with more unexpected techiniques and surfaces. Cast bronze is used for sculptural elements and custom details, from the mirror frame to the desk legs and living-room coffee tables, while a liquid metal finish characterises several pieces, including the dining table, bar console and dressing-room chests of drawers. In the master bedroom, parchment covers the headboard and bed base, adding another layer of texture and materiality. The same attention continues outdoors, where iroko wood and outdoor fabrics define the furnishings overlooking the lake and surrounding the pool area.
Indoor and outdoor spaces are thus brought into a natural continuity, expressing Fratelli Boffi's most tailored approach and its ability to combine artisanal craftsmanship, materials and finishes in solutions developed specifically for the setting they inhabit.
