In-Tarsio

The In-Tarsio project is the product of an exploration that goes beyond two-dimensionality and creates an optical illusion. The overlapping of three-dimensional elements in motion, combined with the two-dimensionality of the inlay, forms a pattern that creates a repeated trompe l'oeil effect by juxtaposing the different types of wood.

In-Tarsio is a boiserie made with numerically controlled inlay in maple, eucalyptus, thermally treated oak, and opaque walnut. The project's design also allows for the possibility of equipping the paneling with storage compartments such as coat racks, bar furniture, and dish racks, and even offers the possibility of creating doors and display compartments.
