Rebus

The supporting frame is composed of the perimeter of a rectangular parallelogram that supports within it—as if it were displayed in a museum display case—a wooden asymmetrical, organically shaped fragment. Attached to the upper part of the shape, this remains suspended within it, resulting in an unexpected sense of lightness. Drawing inspiration for its details from the famous dome of the Pantheon – the Roman temple of all the gods – this imposing solid has been meticulously etched to create the characteristic coffered cells of the ceiling, perforated from side to side enabling one to see through it.  Rebus configures itself as a product halfway between a furniture object and a work of art, unhesitatingly revealing the quality and sumptuous aesthetic of its features.
